Temperature Control

Cooling:

Central Air Conditioning - there is a Honeywell thermostat located just outside the kitchen pantry closet which controls the central air conditioning which is mainly used to control the temperature in all of the bedrooms

  1. Wall mounted mini-split - located above the living room slider cools the main living room/dining room area of the main level of the home. The control for the mini-split is located on the wall, next to the light switch by the living room slider. Please do not remove the remote. Keeping it wall mounted prevents it from being lost

  3. Ceiling Fans - there are ceiling fans in every bedroom as well as in the loft.  Please use them to help circulate air to maintain desired temperatures

NOTE: there is no air conditioning on the ground level of the home.  Even on hot summer days, the temperature of the basement rarely goes above 70 degrees.  There are 2 dehumidifiers, one in the hot tub room and one in the closet with the refrigerator by the sofa. We request that the closet door remain open to allow the dehumidifier to work properly.

NOTE: the electronic thermostats located in each bedroom ONLY control heating, not air conditioning.

Heating:

  1. Baseboard heating with Mysa electronic thermostats in every bedroom of the home and the basement.

  1. Wall mounted mini-split located above the living room slider - The control for the mini-split is located on the wall, next to the light switch by the living room slider. Please do not remove the remote. Keeping it wall mounted prevents it from being lost.

Propane gas fireplace - remote control is located in the basket on the coffee table in the living room
